What is Comprehensive Coverage on the MA Auto Policy

Comprehensive Coverage, Part 9 on the Massachusetts Auto Insurance Policy states:

Under this Part, we will pay for direct and accidental damage to or loss of your auto  other than damage caused by collision.

Coverage is for damage to your vehicle from things such as: fire, theft, vandalism, or if you strike an animal.

Coverage will pay up to the actual cash value of your insured vehicle, subject to your policy’s deductible. The MA auto insurance policy offers $300, $500, $1,000 and higher deductibles. 

In Massachusetts, full comprehensive insurance coverage includes free or, 1st dollar glass coverage.
